The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is a Pakistani non-profit set up in 1995 by a group of citizens concerned about the state of education in Pakistan, beginning with five schools. It runs purpose-built, low-cost schools for children from low-income families. A recent news report puts the network at more than 2,000 school units with over 320,000 students, and its faculty is almost entirely women. Figures change as new schools open.
