The Multi-Campus University is authorized to establish its branches in any city of Pakistan. The construction of new campuses depends on the endowment of funds by the government. Currently there are three faculties functional under the portfolio of KIU namely: Faculty of Life Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Faculty of Mountain Area Development is still in the planning and development phase. The well-established faculties house a number of highly reputed departments that offer specialized higher education programs. This multi-disciplinary university offers a wide array of undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral level degree programs. The University has a fairly large student body of 2300 students. It is one of the largest enrollment rates of that area.
