Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has extended the admission deadline for its Autumn 2026 semester to October 6, 2026, giving prospective and continuing students extra time to submit their applications. The extension covers a wide range of programmes, including Matric, FA, Associate Degree, B.Ed, Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), and various certificate courses, as well as applications from continuing students. AIOU separately offers BS, B.Ed, Associate Degree, PGD, and certificate programmes through its Open Distance Learning model and through selected face-to-face formats. Students applying during this extended window will need to pay a late fee in addition to the standard admission charges. Applications can be submitted through AIOU's online admission system at aiou.edu.pk; the university also allows manual admission and has designated sale points for certain programmes for students who prefer not to apply online. Before applying, the university has advised candidates to select a programme that matches their existing academic qualification and to check that they meet its eligibility requirements, since applications that do not meet programme criteria are not processed.
