The Dalda Foundation Trust has opened its annual scholarship cycle, offering tuition support and stipends to intermediate, bachelor's and master's students who meet its income and academic criteria.
The Dalda Foundation Trust (DFT), a Karachi-based charitable organisation, has opened applications for its annual scholarship programme, which supports students from intermediate level through university education across Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the foundation's own website, the scholarship cycle runs as an annual process that typically opens on 15 July and closes on 30 October, giving prospective applicants only a short window to complete their submissions online. Manual or paper applications are not accepted; students must register and submit their forms through the official portal at daldafoundation.pk.
To qualify, applicants generally need strong academic results, with the foundation's published guidance citing a minimum of 80 percent marks in matriculation for eligibility, along with admission to a recognised institution. Family monthly income and residential status must also fall within limits set by the foundation, which prioritises financially needy students, including children of daily-wage and service staff, who the foundation says receive extra consideration during screening.
Selection is a multi-stage process. The foundation says it weighs education board marks against performance in its own written test, alongside a quota-versus-open-merit split that can change from year to year. Candidates who clear the written test, held at roughly 26 test centres across Pakistan's provinces, are called for an interview before a final list is compiled at the foundation's head office. The programme awards approximately 450 to 500 scholarships annually, the majority funded directly by DFT and the remainder through partner donors on a purely merit basis.
Scholars who continue into further studies must maintain the academic standards required for renewal, such as progressing to the next level of their professional education and meeting minimum grade requirements in subsequent board or university examinations.
Students interested in applying should visit daldafoundation.pk to register and review the detailed screening criteria before the application window closes, as the foundation has indicated it does not accept late or manual submissions.
