Government College University Lahore has reopened admissions for several BS, diploma and certificate programmes with scholarships of up to 60% on tuition, closing on 2 October 2026.
Government College University (GCU) Lahore has launched a third admission phase for its Fall 2026 session, giving students another window to apply for undergraduate and diploma programmes before the academic year begins. The university is accepting applications through its official online admission portal until 2 October 2026.
The Phase III intake covers BS programmes such as Biology, Botany, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Physics, Zoology, Disaster Management, Geography and Mathematics, along with BFA degrees in Visual Arts and Film and Digital Arts, as well as a diploma and certificate in Forensic Science.
A notable part of this phase is a 60% tuition fee waiver offered on select subjects. At the Main Campus on Katchery Road, the discount applies to programmes including Library and Information Science, Persian, Punjabi, Philosophy, Translation Studies, Turkish Language and Literature, and Urdu. At the New Campus in Kala Shah Kaku, the scholarship covers Agriculture, Archive Studies, Art History, Global Studies, History, Islamic Studies and Physical Education.
Most BS programmes in this phase do not require an entry test, except for BFA applicants, who must sit an admission test regardless of discipline. The processing fee is Rs 1,000 for BS and diploma applicants and Rs 500 for certificate applicants, payable only through manual deposit at United Bank Limited branches; the university is not accepting digital or online banking transfers for this fee.
Students interested in the discounted programmes are advised to apply promptly, since seats in the scholarship-eligible subjects are limited and the window closes within days.
