BIEK Karachi announced results for the 2026 Intermediate Part-I Science Pre-Engineering annual exams on October 2, with over 6,300 of nearly 14,700 candidates clearing all six papers under a newly introduced grading system.

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) announced the results of the 2026 annual examinations for the Intermediate Part-I Science Pre-Engineering group on October 2, 2026. A total of 15,044 candidates had registered for the exams, of whom 14,683 actually appeared. Of these, 6,310 candidates passed all six of their papers. The remaining candidates cleared varying numbers of papers: 79 passed five papers, 747 passed four, 1,827 passed three, 1,864 passed two, and 1,783 passed just one paper. This year's results were issued under a revised grading system introduced for Intermediate Part-I annual examinations, following decisions taken by the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) and Sindh's Universities and Boards Department. Under the new rules, any candidate scoring less than 40 percent in a given paper is marked "ungraded" for that paper rather than simply failing it outright, meaning the paper is not counted as passed and must be reattempted by students who otherwise meet eligibility requirements to retake it. The board has released a result gazette listing roll numbers so that students can locate their results.
