Khyber Medical University has opened online applications for private-sector MBBS and BDS seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with forms due by 21 October 2026.
Khyber Medical University (KMU) has announced centralised admissions for private-sector MBBS and BDS programmes across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the 2026-27 academic session, covering nine public-sector medical colleges and four dental colleges in the province, along with reciprocal seats in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir institutions.
Online application forms became available on 29 September 2026, and the deadline to submit them is 21 October 2026. A separate medical board session for specially-abled candidates has been scheduled for 23 October 2026.
To qualify, applicants must hold an HSSC/FSc (Pre-Medical) qualification or its equivalent, along with a domicile from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or the merged tribal districts. For MBBS seats, candidates need a minimum of 55 percent marks in the MDCAT held in 2024, 2025, or 2026, while BDS applicants require at least 50 percent in the relevant MDCAT.
Merit will be calculated using a weighted formula: 10 percent from Secondary School Certificate marks, 40 percent from Intermediate/HSSC marks, and 50 percent from the MDCAT score.
KMU has laid out a detailed timeline following the application deadline: a provisional merit list will be displayed on 30 October 2026, with the final merit list following on 12 November 2026. Seat placements will then proceed in three rounds — 16-21 November, 1-4 December, and 14-17 December 2026.
Candidates can apply through the university's online admission portal at cas.kmu.edu.pk, where they should review the full eligibility criteria and merit formula before submitting their applications ahead of the deadline.
