BISE Malakand and BISE Kohat have started their SSC second annual examinations for Class 9 and 10, giving students who failed subjects in the first annual exams a chance to clear them.
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Malakand and BISE Kohat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa began their SSC (Secondary School Certificate) Second Annual Examinations 2026 on October 7, covering both Class 9 and Class 10 students, according to schedules the boards issued in August.
The second annual exams are primarily meant for students who were unable to clear one or more subjects in the first annual examinations held earlier in the year. Depending on each board's specific rules, the exams also accommodate students seeking mark improvement, those reappearing in subjects, and candidates sitting additional or qualifying subjects.
Both boards set September 2 as the normal fee deadline for exam registration, after which late-fee windows applied. BISE Kohat allowed registration with a double fee until September 10 and a triple fee until September 18. BISE Malakand's late-fee schedule allowed a window for double fees before moving to a triple-fee deadline of September 21.
Regular students enrolled at a school or college submit their examination forms through their own institution, while private candidates register through their respective board's online admission system.
With exams now underway, the boards have advised students to check their official websites for roll number slips, the detailed subject-wise date sheet, and any updates on examination centers.
