All eight Khyber Pakhtunkhwa boards have again postponed the SSC Annual-II examinations, this time citing the province's emergency situation, leaving thousands of students without a confirmed new date.
All eight Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have postponed the SSC Annual-II Examinations 2026 for a second time, leaving students across the province waiting for a fresh date sheet.
The exams, which are meant for students retaking subjects they failed in the first annual examinations, as well as those seeking improvement or additional subjects, were originally scheduled to begin on 7 October 2026. That start date was pushed back once already after the first four papers were affected by disruptions linked to a political long march in the province, with boards resetting the start to 12 October.
However, each of the eight boards has now issued fresh notifications postponing the papers again, this time citing what they describe as the prevailing emergency situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. None of the boards has announced a new examination date, and students have been told the exams will remain postponed until further orders once conditions are considered safe enough to resume.
The repeated delays affect matric-level students across KP who still need to clear outstanding subjects from their annual exams, with no revised schedule yet in place. Students and parents have been advised to keep checking their respective board's official website and notice board for the eventual announcement of new dates, rather than relying on earlier, now-superseded schedules that some boards had briefly circulated.
