The Punjab Daanish Schools and Centres of Excellence Authority has opened Class 6 admissions for 2027, offering free residential seats to eligible low-income students through a merit-based entrance test.
The Punjab Daanish Schools and Centres of Excellence Authority has announced the opening of Class 6 admissions for the 2027 academic session, offering free, residential education to deserving students from low-income families across the province.
To be eligible, applicants must have passed Class 5. Boys must be between 10 and 12 years old, while girls must be between 10 and 13 years old at the time of admission. The authority has set an initial monthly household income ceiling of Rs. 15,000 for those seeking a free seat, though it has reserved the right to revise this limit through a formal notification, so parents are advised to confirm the applicable figure with their chosen campus. Priority in the selection process is given to orphans, children who have lost their family's main earner, children of illiterate parents, families without property or facing serious chronic illness, households with unstable income, students forced to drop out for financial reasons, and families from rural or unstable housing situations.
Selection takes place in three stages. First, shortlisted applicants sit a centralised, 100-mark written entrance test designed by the authority's Academic Wing, covering English (35 marks), Mathematics (20 marks), an IQ section (20 marks), General Science (15 marks) and Urdu (10 marks). Candidates who clear the test then undergo a household verification process, in which field teams and local government representatives confirm income, housing conditions and the family circumstances claimed in the application. Finally, successful candidates undergo a medical fitness check before receiving an admission offer based on their test score, verification outcome and seat availability.
Each campus section enrols 110 students, with 90 percent of seats, or 99 places, reserved for deserving students under the free scheme, which covers tuition, boarding, meals, uniforms, textbooks and health monitoring. The remaining 10 percent, or 11 places, are offered on a self-finance basis, with a published monthly charge of Rs. 20,500 for the 2027 intake; parents in this category are advised to confirm fees, security deposits and boarding arrangements directly with the campus.
Parents can obtain the application form either by downloading it from the authority's official portal or by collecting a free physical copy from the nearest Daanish School campus. Applicants need to submit four recent passport-size photographs, an attested Class 5 result card or primary school completion certificate, an attested CNIC of the father or legal guardian, an attested NADRA B-Form or birth certificate, and, for those applying for a free seat, proof of household income such as salary slips or financial declarations. Completed forms can be submitted either online through the authority's portal or in person at the target campus. Shortlisted applicants will subsequently receive a call letter for the entrance test with their roll number, test venue, reporting time and instructions.
