Punjab's Committee of Chairmen has pushed back the deadline for first-year (Class 11) admissions for the 2026-2028 session, giving students extra time to register without a late fee.
Students in Punjab planning to enroll in Class 11 for the 2026-2028 academic session have been given more time to complete their admissions. The Committee of Chairmen of the Punjab boards issued a revised schedule on October 9, 2026, moving the no-late-fee registration deadline from October 5 to October 12.
Students who miss the extended regular deadline still have an option to register with a late fee. That window, previously set to close on October 20, has also been pushed back to October 27. Those opting for late registration will need to pay a fee of Rs. 600.
The boards have also addressed students who already paid the late fee before the extension was announced: they will be refunded, since they are now eligible to register within the no-penalty window.
The decision affects all boards operating under the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen and applies specifically to the intake of new Class 11 students for the 2026-2028 session. Students are advised to complete their registration through their respective college or board's admission process well before the new deadlines to avoid last-minute issues.
