All nine Punjab boards are conducting the 2026 SSC second annual (supplementary) exams, with Class 10 papers running October 6-16 and Class 9 papers October 17-28.

Students who could not clear one or more subjects in this year's regular matriculation exams are currently sitting Punjab's SSC Second Annual Examination, commonly known as the supplementary exam, which began on October 6 and continues through late October across all nine boards in the province. The schedule, jointly issued by the Punjab boards - Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Sahiwal - covers both Class 10 and Class 9 candidates. Class 10 written papers run from October 6 to October 16, while Class 9 written papers follow from October 17 to October 28. Practical examinations for both classes are scheduled separately, from October 30 to November 17. For Class 10, papers opened with Education on October 6, followed by English Compulsory on October 7, Pakistan Studies on October 8, Tarjuma-tul-Quran (or Ethics for non-Muslim candidates) on October 9, and Islamiat Compulsory under the old course on October 10. The schedule continues with Mathematics or General Mathematics on October 12, Biology or Computer Science on October 13, Physics on October 14, Urdu Compulsory on October 15, and concludes on October 16 with Chemistry in the morning session and General Science in the afternoon session. Class 9 papers follow a similar structure starting October 17, covering Pakistan Studies, Mathematics, Islamiat, English, Biology or Computer Science, Tarjuma-tul-Quran, Education, Physics, Urdu, and closing on October 28 with Chemistry and General Science. Practical exams scheduled between October 30 and November 17 cover subjects including Computer Hardware, Poultry Farming, Dressmaking and Fashion Designing, Art and Model Drawing, Woodwork, Physics, Physical Education, Clothing and Textiles, Food and Nutrition, Chemistry, Geometrical Drawing, Welding, and Biology/Computer Science, held on designated dates within that window. Boards have set standard reporting times: candidates for morning papers must report by 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. start, while afternoon papers on Monday through Thursday and Saturday require reporting by 1:30 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. start. On Fridays, afternoon papers begin at 2:30 p.m. with reporting by 2:00 p.m. Boards have stressed that candidates must carry a hard copy of their roll number slip to every paper and report only to the exact center and group listed on it, since late arrivals are not admitted. Papers will proceed as scheduled even if a public holiday falls during the exam window. Students are advised to double-check their subject list, course version (old or new scheme), and shift timing against their own roll number slip, since minor variations can exist between boards.
