Punjab will hold its first Honahar Scholarship and laptop distribution ceremony on October 15 at the University of Sahiwal, covering students from three districts.
The Punjab government has scheduled the first distribution ceremony of its Honahar Scholarship Programme for October 15, to be held at the University of Sahiwal.
Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced the date on social media, saying Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is expected to personally distribute scholarships and laptops at the event. The ceremony will cover students from the Sahiwal, Okara, and Pakpattan districts.
The minister did not disclose how many students will receive laptops or scholarships at this first event.
According to the announcement, this is only the opening ceremony in a province-wide rollout. Similar distribution events are planned across all nine divisions of Punjab through October and November, though exact dates and venues for the remaining ceremonies have not yet been announced. Hayat said further schedules for other divisions would be released in the coming weeks, and expressed hope that the full rollout would be completed on time.
Students in Punjab who have applied for or been selected under the Honahar Scholarship Programme are advised to watch for further updates from their educational institutions and official provincial government channels regarding ceremony dates in their own districts.
