Sukkur IBA University, working with the Government of Sindh, has opened registration for its Sindh Talent Hunt Program (STHP), a fully funded scholarship scheme aimed at talented but financially constrained students from across Sindh province. The program begins with a foundation semester that prepares students in English, Mathematics, and ICT before they move into a full degree track. Online applications are being accepted through the university's admissions portal and will close on Thursday, October 29, 2026. Candidates who complete their applications will sit an entrance test on Sunday, November 8, 2026, held simultaneously at six regional centres: Sukkur, Hyderabad, Karachi, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, and Naushahro Feroze. To be eligible, applicants must hold a valid Sindh domicile and must have completed their intermediate (or an equivalent) qualification in 2024, 2025, or 2026 from any recognized board. Selection is based on a combination of merit and financial need, alongside performance in the mandatory entrance test. The foundation semester will admit 200 students, who receive a full tuition fee waiver, free textbooks, a monthly living allowance of Rs 5,500, and an additional monthly stipend of Rs 4,000. No hostel accommodation is provided during this initial semester. Students who perform strongest in the foundation semester have a path to a longer-term award: the top 100 candidates, provided they maintain a minimum GPA of 2.2, qualify for a full four-year undergraduate scholarship. These degree scholars receive 100 percent tuition coverage across eight semesters plus a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000. Eligible degree programs span a wide range of fields, including Business Administration, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Systems Engineering, Accounting and Finance, Economics, Mathematics (with Data Science or Actuarial Science options), Physical Education, Media and Communication, Education, and Electrical Engineering. Interested students can apply by visiting the registration portal at applyadmission.iba-suk.edu.pk, filling out the online form, and uploading their educational transcripts and a Sindh domicile certificate before the October 29 deadline.
