The University of Health Sciences has opened applications for 214 MBBS and 38 BDS seats reserved for other provinces, alongside private medical and dental college admissions in Punjab, with a November 6 deadline for private MBBS seats.

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has opened several admission windows for MBBS and BDS aspirants in Punjab, covering both reserved public-sector seats for students from other provinces and admissions to the province's private medical and dental colleges. Starting October 26, UHS began accepting online applications for seats reserved for students from other provinces and regions in Punjab's public medical and dental colleges. These reserved seats total 214 for MBBS and 38 for BDS, distributed as follows: Islamabad gets 26 MBBS and 4 BDS seats, Azad Kashmir gets 36 MBBS and 3 BDS seats, Gilgit-Baltistan gets 55 MBBS and 5 BDS seats, Balochistan gets 48 MBBS and 10 BDS seats, and the former FATA region gets 49 MBBS and 16 BDS seats. Candidates applying for these seats must apply directly through the university's online system, must have passed MDCAT 2026, and will have their eligibility verified by their respective provincial or regional governments. Separately, applications for private medical colleges in Punjab opened on October 23, with a deadline of November 6, 2026 for the 2026-27 session. The first selection list for private MBBS seats is expected to be announced on November 18. Private BDS applications will open later, running from December 18, 2026 to January 1, 2027, with the first selection list due January 13, 2027. Punjab currently has 34 private medical colleges offering roughly 4,500 MBBS seats and 18 private dental colleges with about 1,100 BDS seats. For both reserved and private seats, eligibility requires at least 55 percent marks in MDCAT for MBBS and 50 percent for BDS, along with a minimum of 60 percent marks in FSc pre-medical or an equivalent qualification. Merit for private-college admissions is calculated using a weighted formula: matriculation or equivalent counts for 10 percent, FSc pre-medical or equivalent for 40 percent, and MDCAT score for 50 percent. Students applying for private seats can do so through privatembbs.uhs.edu.pk for MBBS and privatebds.uhs.edu.pk for BDS. Selected candidates are given three days to deposit their fees and join their allotted college, and applicants are advised to review each college's fee structure, location, and facilities before submitting their choices.
