About 1st Year
1st year, also called 11th class or HSSC Part I, covering FSc (pre-medical and pre-engineering), FA, ICS and I.Com programmes. Intermediate part one is examined by the BISE of your division. Many students also begin ECAT or MDCAT preparation in this year, so a mix of board papers and entry test papers works well.

How to get the most from notes
- Use notes for revision, not as a replacement for the textbook. Read the chapter first, then use the notes to check what you remember.
- Match the notes to your board and class. Chapter numbering differs between provinces.
- Turn each unit's notes into a one-page summary of definitions, formulas and diagrams the night before a test.
- Test yourself on the same unit with a past paper afterwards to find the gaps in your notes.
